Starting at 8:00 AM, and every 8 minutes until 5:00 PM, we feature teams from around Canada, North America, and the world as they participate in International Saturday, celebrating the spirit of unity and friendship that dragon boat and sport brings. Featuring world-class dragon boat races, including the Concord Pacific Champions Race Series, International Saturday will be a can’t miss day for sports lovers, and is a perfect way to soak in the first few rays of summer.

Concord Pacific Champions Race Series

Experience non-stop Specialty Cup Finals on International Saturday at the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival. Featuring the International Cup, Grand Dragon’s Cup, U24 Cup, and more, this can’t miss race series will keep you on the edge of your seat! Catch the Concord Pacific Champions Race Series from the Concord Fan Zone on the North shore of False Creek.

International Cup

Teams from around the world qualify for the International Cup on All Access Friday before facing each other in one of the Festival’s marquee events. Nine teams will compete in 100 m sprints during this Grand Final, knocking out the lowest 2 teams until 5 teams remain to contest the title. Watch as these teams fly down the course and battle for glory for team and country in this hotly contested race.

Live Music at the Entertainment Stage   

Live music from around the world starts at 11:00 AM and carries through the entire day. Enjoy a beverage at Vancouver’s largest licensed outdoor patio, measuring 3 hectares on the False Creek waterfront while listening to beats that take you around the world. Celebrate and discover international cultures through our diverse range of local artists at Vancouver’s largest cultural and sporting festival.

International Food Festival

Taste the world at one of Vancouver’s largest food truck festivals; our expanded food program will deliver a smorgasbord of flavours that complement International Saturday’s goal of bringing people together from a diverse range of places. Local products will shine, and Vancouver’s take on different cultures will be sure to please the most discerning of palates.

Women’s Guts and Glory Grand Final

Close out day 2 at the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival with the Women’s Guts and Glory Grand Final. The fastest women’s teams of the Festival compete in this 2,000 m long endurance race, filled with close turns, strategic racing, and a pure show of strength.
