Our non-profit society reflects diversity through festivals that celebrate the arts and dragon boat racing. We have expanded our mission by supporting our activities with year round programs such as the Dragon Zone Paddling Club and the Community Boathouse.
The Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival is a registered British Columbia Non-Profit Society. Incorporated in 1989, our society number is S-24628.
The 29th Annual Concord Pacific Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival is scheduled for June 23rd – 25th 2017. More than 100,000 spectators will line the shores of False Creek and Creekside Park to cheer on approximately 5,500 local and visiting athletes. On shore an exciting line-up of professional entertainers will perform from the World Beat Stage. Artisans will demonstrate and display their crafts and there will be plenty of hands-on activities for visitors of all ages and abilities including interactive art displays and a professional circus.
Dragon boating is a sport that captivates its participants and spectators alike. The 29th Annual Concord Pacific Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival is proud to present programs that promote diversity and inclusiveness, while paying homage to an activity that has its roots in ancient China and celebrates the many unique aspects of Chinese culture.
The Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival Society is a professional, independent, non-profit society. We are people-centered, teamwork-focused and highly inclusive organization. We believe that the promotion of community integration is vital to the formation of a strengthened community. We are responsive to the needs of the neighbourhood, and will continue to focus our efforts on making a lasting and positive impact on our community.
